Acceptable Use Policy (AUP)
Effective date: 14 July 2026 Applies to: all websites, hosting accounts, and services provided by Vincent Digital Marketing ("we", "us", "our"), including vincentchhuy.com clients.
Please read this policy carefully — it applies to every website we build or host. If you have any questions, contact us at [email protected].
1. Purpose
This Acceptable Use Policy sets out what you may not do with the websites and hosting we provide. It exists to keep our infrastructure safe and lawful and to protect us, our upstream providers, and other clients. It forms part of our Terms of Service and any Client Hosting & Service Agreement.
You are solely responsible for your content and activity, and for anyone you allow to use your account or site.
2. Prohibited content
You must not use our services to host, store, publish, transmit, or link to content that:
- is illegal under Cambodian law or the law that applies to you or your audience;
- infringes intellectual property — pirated software, media, unlicensed images, counterfeit goods, or trademark misuse;
- is child sexual abuse material (CSAM) or exploits minors in any way (zero tolerance — reported to authorities);
- is adult/pornographic or otherwise age-restricted material where prohibited by law, your plan, or our upstream provider;
- promotes hate, violence, terrorism, or discrimination, or harasses, threatens, or defames any person;
- is fraudulent or deceptive — scams, fake stores, phishing pages, or impersonation of others;
- involves illegal gambling, illegal drugs, weapons, or other regulated goods without proper authorisation; or
- violates the privacy of others or unlawfully collects or exposes personal data.
3. Prohibited activities
You must not use our services to:
- distribute malware, viruses, ransomware, or malicious scripts;
- run phishing, credential harvesting, or fraud operations;
- send spam or unsolicited bulk email/messages, or operate a mailing service that breaches anti-spam rules;
- attempt to gain unauthorised access to systems, networks, or data (hacking, port scanning, brute force);
- launch or participate in denial-of-service (DoS/DDoS) or other network attacks;
- abuse shared resources — e.g. crypto mining, excessive CPU/RAM/storage/bandwidth use, or activity that degrades service for others;
- host open proxies, anonymisers, torrent trackers, or bulk file-sharing that breach law or plan limits;
- resell, sublicense, or overload the hosting beyond the terms of your plan; or
- do anything that exposes us or our upstream providers to legal liability or a takedown/abuse complaint.
4. Security responsibilities
You are responsible for:
- keeping your CMS, plugins, themes, and applications updated and secure;
- protecting your passwords and access credentials;
- promptly addressing vulnerabilities or compromises on your site; and
- ensuring users you authorise also comply with this Policy.
We may require you to fix a security issue (e.g. a hacked or malware-infected site), and may suspend the site in the meantime to protect our infrastructure and other clients.
5. Monitoring and enforcement
- We do not actively monitor the content of client sites and are not obligated to review it.
- However, we may investigate suspected violations, respond to abuse reports or legal demands, and access account data where reasonably necessary or legally required.
- If we find or are notified of a violation, we may — at our discretion and without liability — warn you, remove or disable specific content, throttle or suspend the service, or terminate the account.
- For serious or urgent violations (e.g. CSAM, malware, phishing, active attacks, court/registrar takedown demands), we may act immediately and without prior notice, and may report the matter to law enforcement or our upstream provider.
6. Consequences of violation
A breach of this Policy is a breach of your agreement with us and may result in suspension or termination without refund and without liability on our part, as described in our Terms of Service. You remain responsible for any costs, fines, or claims resulting from your violation (see the indemnification clause in the Terms).
7. Reporting abuse
If you believe a site we host violates this Policy or your rights (e.g. copyright, defamation, fraud), please report it to [email protected] with details and, for IP claims, proof of ownership. We will review valid reports and take appropriate action, which may include forwarding the complaint to the client or upstream provider.
8. Governing law
This Policy is governed by the laws of the Kingdom of Cambodia, consistent with our Terms of Service.
